Today’s COVID-19 update shows once again that Florida can still be considered a hot spot in the United States with its latest report of a total of 11.433 new cases of the coronavirus. That’s the second highest number since early March. There were  93 coronavirus-related deaths in Florida including five in Volusia, three  in Marion, two in Polk, and one in Brevard.

Osceola County added 192 new cases of COVID-19 to its total tally of 3,658 but had no new deaths to report.

There were 1,064 negative test results to go along with 192 positives in Osceola, making the positivity rate 15.3%, which has been trending down since July 6 when it was 21.8%. Florida health officials are reporting that 2.17 million tests have come back negative in the state.
