Florida’s Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday starts today, Monday July 25, and this year the tax holiday will last longer. Families can save when buying school supplies from July 25 to Aug. 7. Check out what items qualify and what items do not!

Here are some of the items that will qualify as tax free during the Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday:

  • Clothing, footwear, and certain accessories with a sales price of $100 or less per item.
  • A variety of school supplies $50 or less per item.
  • Learning aids and jigsaw puzzles $30 or less.
  • Personal computers and certain computer-related accessories $1,500 or less, when purchased for noncommercial home or personal use.

Here are some of the items that are NOT included in Florida’s Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday:

  • Clothing items more than $100.
  • School supply items more than $50.
  • Computers and computer-related accessories with a sales price of more than $1,500.
  • Computers and computer-related accessories purchased for commercial purposes.
  • Rental of any eligible items.
  • Repairs or alterations of any eligible items.
  • Eligible items purchased at a theme park, entertainment complex, hotel resort or airport.
