The Florida Toll Relief Program, a significant initiative proposed by Governor Ron DeSantis, has been a relief measure for Florida’s motorists throughout 2023. This program, aimed at providing financial relief to regular commuters, is set to conclude at the end of the year.

Under the program, individuals with an E-PASS account, or other valid transponder system like SunPass in good standing, driving 2-axle vehicles, and accumulating 35 or more toll transactions per month could benefit from toll rebates. This initiative was part of a broader effort to ease transportation costs for Florida residents who frequently use toll roads.

The Toll Relief Program was accessible to Florida Interoperable customers traveling on electronic toll facilities across Florida. With the program’s termination approaching, users are reminded to make the most of the remaining period.

As we approach the end of 2023, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) encourages motorists to stay informed about future programs and changes in traffic regulations, including the expansion of the state’s “move over” traffic law and stricter rules on road safety.

While the Toll Relief Program concludes, Florida continues to offer various options for toll payments, including the SunPass, which is Florida’s prepaid toll program.
