ORLANDO, Fla. — Just a short drive from Osceola County, Central Florida is gearing up for a summer packed with concerts, festivals, sporting events, nighttime attractions, and brand-new theme park experiences.

Families looking for weekend adventures will find plenty happening across the Orlando area this summer, including special after-hours events at major attractions, international soccer, live entertainment, and food festivals.

At Aquatica Orlando, AquaGlow returns on select nights from May 15 through Sept. 26, transforming the water park into a glowing nighttime party featuring lights, music, foam zones, and shorter wait times.

Walt Disney World is also launching several summer experiences beginning May 26, including Disney H2O Glow After Hours at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon from June 2 through Sept. 5, along with new family entertainment across the Disney parks.

Meanwhile, Universal Volcano Bay is bringing back Volcano Bay Nights on select evenings through Aug. 21 with live DJs, character meet-and-greets, and exclusive nighttime fun.

One of the summer’s biggest additions is Universal Epic Universe, Universal Orlando Resort’s newest theme park featuring more than 50 attractions across five immersive worlds.

Concert fans will also have plenty to choose from at Kia Center, where artists including Rosalía, Noah Kahan, A$AP Rocky, 5 Seconds of Summer, and Lionel Richie with Earth, Wind & Fire are scheduled to perform this summer.

Festival season is also heating up across Central Florida.

The Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival returns May 12-25 at Loch Haven Park with more than 1,000 performances featuring comedy, theater, dance, and live entertainment.

At SeaWorld Orlando, Bands, Brew & BBQ returns July 4 through Aug. 23 with live music, barbecue favorites, and craft beer offerings.

Sports fans can also catch international soccer action at Inter&Co Stadium when England’s national team faces Costa Rica on June 10 in a FIFA World Cup preparation match.

Other summer highlights include the return of Blue Man Group at ICON Park and Gatorland’s annual Gatorpalooza Weekend May 30-31.

For Osceola County residents, many of these events and attractions are less than an hour away, making Central Florida one of the top regional destinations for summer fun in 2026.
