The City of Kissimmee’s Festival of Lights event will be held today starting at 4:30 p.m., and here are some things you should know before you go to Kissimmee’s full day of awesomely grand events!

This annual holiday tradition is one of the most anticipated events of the year in Kissimmee and features free holiday activities, photos with Santa, and a nighttime holiday parade.

Here’s what to expect at this years event:

Event Schedule

  • Beginning at 4:30 p.m. at Kissimmee Lakefront Park there will be several activities including cookie decorating, pictures with Santa, crafts, snow, and the KUA Kids Power Zone.
  • The parade begins at 7:30 p.m. and will travel down Broadway Avenue, Dakin Avenue, and Lakeview Drive in downtown Kissimmee.

Driving Directions, Parking, and Road Closures

  • Parking is free at all public parking garages and surface lots.
  • Attendees arriving from the south via John Young Parkway are directed to take Bryan Street to the Osceola County Courthouse Parking Garage.
  • Attendees from all other directions should travel down MLK, Main Street, or Oak Street to Tohopekaliga Avenue to access the City’s two parking garages and available surface lots.
  • There will be no parking on Broadway after 2:00 p.m. and cars remaining on the street will be at risk of being towed.
  • Additional road closures affecting numerous streets in the downtown area will begin at 5:00 p.m.

El Festival de las Luces de la ciudad de Kissimmee se celebrará el Sábado, 9 de Diciembre, a partir de las 4:30 p.m.

Esta tradición navideña anual es uno de los eventos más esperados del año en Kissimmee y cuenta con actividades navideñas gratuitas incluyendo fotos con Santa y una parada navideña nocturna.

Esto es lo que te espera en el evento de este año:

Horario del evento

  • Empezando a las 4:30 p.m. en Kissimmee Lakefront Park habrá varias actividades incluyendo decoración de galletas, fotos con Santa, artesanías, nieve, y la KUA Kids Power Zone.
  • El desfile comienza a las 7:30 p.m. y recorrerá Broadway Avenue, Dakin Avenue y Lakeview Drive en el centro de Kissimmee.

Indicaciones para llegar en coche, aparcamiento y cierres de carreteras

  • El parking es gratuito en todos los aparcamientos públicos y de superficie.
  • Los asistentes que lleguen desde el sur por John Young Parkway deberán tomar Bryan Street hasta el parking de la Corte del Condado de Osceola.
  • Los asistentes del resto de direcciones deberán dirigirse por MLK, Main Street o Oak Street hasta Tohopekaliga Avenue para acceder a los dos aparcamientos de la ciudad y a las superficies disponibles.
  • No se podrá aparcar en Broadway después de las 2:00 p.m. y los coches que permanezcan en la calle correrán el riesgo de ser remolcados.
