The election continues on, and so does the 2020 hurricane season. After pounding Nicaragua with heavy rain and winds as high as 140 mph, Hurricane Eta is projected to possibly curve back to the northeast as it treks toward Cuba and then onward toward Florida.

Florida looks to be in Hurricane Eta’s cone of uncertainty but is expected to pass over Cuba and approach South Florida late Sunday as a tropical storm.

It’s still too early to say what impact Eta will have, if any, on Florida, but it’s likely if it makes it to the Sunshine state it will have reduced its intensity to a Tropical Storm.
