A Kissimmee couple was arrested and facing numerous child neglect charges after their 6-year-old was found with his head in a toilet, according to an Osceola County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reported that, 22-year-old Larry Rhodes Jr. and 25-year-old Bianca Blaise had been living in a Kissimmee Knights Inn with their six children since April when Osceola deputies responded to a drowning call in room 510 of the motel on July 5.

When deputies arrived at the room they said they found a 6-year-old boy without no pulse and n0t breathing in Larry Rhodes Jr.’s arms.

Deputies administered CPR to the 6-year-old boy until he was transported to the hospital and put on life support. According to the report the boy had a life-threatening brain bleed.

The mother, Bianca Blaise, told deputies that her son’s head was in the toilet like he was drinking water, and that at some point he became unconscious.

Deputies said they saw injuries on the 6-year-old boy’s face, including swollen eyes and blood in his mouth.

The arrest report said that a 4-year-old in the room also had bruises on his face and cuts around his mouth and that, according Blaise and Rhodes, there was a fight between the siblings.

Rhodes was charged with 6 counts of Child Neglect with Great Bodily Harm, and one count of Battery. As of 4 am on Wednesday July 13, Rhodes was still in the Osceola County Jail with a $33,000.00 bond. Blaise has since been released.
