Fries deserve to be celebrated, so that’s exactly what Wendy’s, MCDonald’s, Burger King, and other fast service chains are doing to honor the “made up holiday” National Fry Day, July 13, 2022.
Fry fans can indulge in a perfect balance between the hot, fluffy potato and subtle crispiness – and eat “fries” while saving some bucks.
Here are some of the places you can grab some fries deals today, and in some cases the rest of the week!
The French fries are basically only free if ordered through the fast service restaurants apps as part of digital loyalty programs with a goal of increasing sales and luring in customers. Remember, the programs give the restaurant chains access to customers’ data and ordering habits.

Wednesday, 7/13: FREE Any Size Fry with any mobile order purchase*
Thursday, 7/14: FREE Small Breakfast Seasoned Potatoes (aka Breakfast FryDay) with any mobile order purchase*
Friday, 7/15: FREE Medium Fry with any size Fry mobile order purchase*
McDonald’s is giving away free large fries through its mobile app Wednesday and no purchase is necessary.
On Fridays, McDonald’s regularly has an app offer for free medium fries with a $1 or more purchase.
Burger King Royal Perks members can get free fries daily as part of the “frequent fry’er club” and on National Fry Day the chain is offering free Chicken Fries with a $3 purchase.
The offer is available on the chain’s app, website and at participating restaurants.
Checkers and Rally’s are giving a digital coupon for a free medium order of seasoned fries for signing the “Fry Day To Friday” petition. They would like National “Fry Day” to be permanently moved to… Friday.
