The City of Kissimmee’s Finance Department once again is awarded with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR).
This Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in government accounting and financial reporting. The program was established to encourage and assist state and local governments to go beyond the minimum requirements to prepare comprehensive annual financial reports.
“The City and its Finance Department are thrilled to be once again recognized by the GFOA by receiving the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. Receipt of this award offers assurance to the City’s residents and business owners that the monies that have been entrusted to their local government are being managed and reported according to the highest standards set for a government entity,” said the Finance director, Amy Ady.
