A 62-year-old Kissimmee woman died after being involved in a crash Saturday afternoon on Pleasant Hill Road, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash took place around 12:38 p.m. on Saturday when a woman driving 2019 Toyota Camry was stopped at a stop sign in the eastbound lane of Pineridge Circle at the intersection of Pleasant Hill Road.
The driver of the Camry attempted to make a left turn onto northbound Pleasant Hill Road and drove into the direct path of a 2021 Dodge Challenger that was being driven by a 27-year-old Kissimmee man. Troopers said that the left side of the woman’s Camry struck the front front of the Challenger in the collision.
The 62-year-old driver of the Camry was transported to HCA Hospital Osceola where she was pronounced dead.
The 27-year-old driver of the Challenger was also transported to HCA Hospital Osceola where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
