Easy Foods Inc., a local Kissimmee producer of corn and flour tortillas, chips and other snack products, recently had an opportunity to pitch their TacoMex tortillas and Vedgee Wraps, during Walmart’s Open Call event where entrepreneurs hoping to become the retailer’s newest suppliers hope to land the deal of a lifetime!  All of Easy Foods delicious products  are manufactured in their 97,000-square-foot production facility in Kissimmee.

The company had moved its operations and headquarters from Doral to Kissimmee in August of last year with approximately 150 employees, and have now grown to 200 with more plans for growth in the upcoming year.

What’s truly exciting is that Walmart will be Easy Food’s first retail customer, as this 10-year-old company that has provided its products solely to the food service industry to this point, and is now moving into retail… and with the biggest retail chain in the world!

Easy Foods was one of more than 500 (unique) companies from 48 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico and Australia who were doing their best to end up on Walmart’s shelves. Of the states represented at this year’s event, California, Florida and Texas have the highest representation of locally headquartered companies. Easy Foods was also named a 2018 Florida Company to Watch Honoree by GrowFL.

Positively Osceola would like to congratulate Easy Foods on their successful pitch to Walmart and we’ll be looking forward to supporting this amazing local Kissimmee business by choosing their products for dinner as soon as we see them on Walmart’s shelves!
