A drug deal in Kissimmee went bad when the man and woman selling the drugs forced the buyer by gun point to drive to an ATM to withdraw cash.
On July 23rd the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office was contacted about an armed robbery that had taken place near West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway and Siesta Lago Drive in Kissimmee. When the deputies arrived on the scene the victim told deputies that they had agreed to buy narcotics from Angelique Lopez, but during the transaction Lopez, along with Kareem Acevedo, pulled out a handgun and forced the victim to drive them to an ATM machine in order to withdraw cash.
As they were driving to the ATM Kareem discharged his handgun inside the victim’s vehicle.
After investigating, Osceola detectives were able to locate and arrest Angelique Lopez and Kareem Acevedo and found the firearm and stolen property belonging to the victim.
Angelique Lopez is charged with Armed Robbery with a firearm, Kidnapping, and Grand Theft. Kareem Acevedo is charged with Carrying a Concealed Firearm, Armed Robbery with a Firearm, Kidnapping, Grand Theft, and Discharging a Firearm. Kareem also had an active warrant out of Polk County for Armed Burglary.
