A man was arrested in connection with a shooting that took place in Poinciana on Sunday that seriously injured another person, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

Osceola deputies responded to a reported shooting in the area of Peppermill Circle in Kissimmee and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.  After taking the man to a local hospital, deputies located Luis Joel Delgado, the man they believed to be responsible for the shooting.

Detectives said the shooting incident began because Delgado arrived uninvited at a home and refused to leave.

Investigators said a fight broke out in the driveway of the home between the victim and Delgado which led to Delgado going to to his vehicle, getting a firearm, and then shooting the victim.

Delgado faces charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated stalking, according to the release.
