A man in Kissimmee who was negligently handling a gun shot and killed a woman, who was his roommate and friend, according to the the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
On Friday, Osceola deputies responded to 133 Pickering Drive in Kissimmee after being call about a shooting.
Once on the scene, investigators said they found Savannah Threatts, who had been shot and killed.
After investigating, deputies found that Anthony Mendez, Savannah’s roommate and friend, had been negligently handling a gun and ended up shooting her.
Mendez was arrested for Manslaughter, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Violation of Probation and is currently being held at the Osceola County Jail with zero bond.
