As reported LIVE on Positively Osceola earlier today during a press conference with Sheriff Russ Gibson, a mother and her 17 year old daughter were found dead Monday morning in their Kissimmee home. Osceola County Sheriff deputies were called to 2507 N. Beaumont Avenue at 8:52 a.m. Monday morning when a woman who lives at the home reported to deputies that she woke up Monday morning and found her 39-year-old daughter and 17-year-old granddaughter dead together in a bedroom.

Deputies reported that both the woman and her daughter appeared to have died from gunshot.

Sheriff Gibson said the shooting was an isolated incident and said deputies were not looking for any suspects. He also said that there were no signs of a home invasion or struggle of any kind at the home.

It’s been reported that the 17-year-old girl who was found dead with her mother was a student at Osceola High School, but the Sheriff couldn’t confirm that the incident was a murder-suicide, and that the coroner would make that assessment.

“I mean, that’s one of the saddest cases that it could be. And you’ve heard me say it many times that all life is precious and I consider children to be our most precious gifts from God,” Gibson said.

Positively Osceola will update this story as we receive more information from the Osceola Sheriff’s Office.
