Here’s a reminder that Osceola County will begin accepting another round of foreclosure prevention and rental assistance applications today for families who have experienced an impact to their income due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The online application process begins THIS MORNING at 8 a.m. by going to housing.osceola.org and selecting the Emergency Rental Assistance/Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention option. A group of 500 applications will be accepted in this round.

A pool of about $1 million in CARES Act funds was dispersed specifically for community grants like these. Applicants will have to provide proof of residence and job loss, and applicants will be taken on a first-come, first-ready basis. It’s a simple application, and additional documentation will be needed for those who are selected.

Those who have been denied before can apply again.
