Positively Osceola connected with influential community leaders, inviting them to reflect on the achievements and challenges of 2024 while sharing their aspirations and goals for 2025. Among those offering valuable insights and a forward-looking vision was the 2024 Miss Silver Spurs, Bailee Jeannin.
As we close out 2024, it’s important to take a step back and reflect on the experiences, milestones, and lessons learned throughout this year.
One of the most defining moments of 2024 has been being crowned Miss Silver Spurs and the first person to win all three titles (Little Miss 2017, Jr Miss 2021 and Miss 2024). Becoming Miss Silver Spurs has always been a dream of mine and to accomplish that this year was truly a blessing. I am also deeply involved in 4H and FFA where I have the honor to serve as my club and chapter president this year. Holding these three titles, I continue to advocate for the agriculture industry I am so passionate about in more ways than one. All these organizations have allowed me to grow as an individual and leader, allowing me to prepare for challenges that may arise.
2024 has taught me determination and perseverance. While I did not win the title of Miss Silver Spurs in 2023, this loss gave me an opportunity to come back stronger and achieve my lifelong goal of earning this title. Another challenge I have endured this year is recovering from numerous ankle surgeries. Being injured for majority of the year and competing for this title was not easy, but it taught me that perseverance is key and there is strength to be found within the struggles. As a senior balancing my role as a Queen with my involvement in FFA and 4H, it has been an exercise in time management. Having a true passion for everything I do has allowed me to complete my obligations while soaking up every moment.
Looking forward to 2025, my goals for this year are leaving an impact on paths that I may cross. From travelling to different rodeos, leading dozens of Rodeo Queens during “Queen Week” promoting the 154th Silver Spurs Rodeo, and educating hundreds of school kids about the sport of rodeo and the agriculture way of life.
Using my platform, “Ignite Your Passion”, I will encourage those around me to chase after their dreams as I have mine. Being a role model to my court is a huge goal of mine as well. I have plans to travel to several rodeos across the state of Florida, which is unique for Miss Silver Spurs to be able to do. My fellow queens, Savannah and Cooper, were strangers to me when we started this process, but as our year has gone on, I am beyond thankful to say we have created a bond that will last a lifetime. I will continue spreading my passion for the agricultural industry as a mentor to future rodeo queens, 4H and FFA members.
After I crown the next Miss Silver Spurs, I plan to attend the University of Florida to further my education within Ag Communications! As far as my queening journey goes, I plan to run for the title of 2026 Miss Teen Rodeo Florida, Miss Southeastern Circuit, Miss Rodeo Florida, with hopes to compete for the title of Miss Rodeo America, on the big stage under the Vegas lights!
For now, I am enjoying the last of my senior year and reign, but I have big plans to share my passion for this industry as your Miss Silver Spurs. I hope to see y’all at our February Rodeo!
