Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute, based at Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital and Orlando Health Emergency Room and Medical Pavilion – Osceola has welcomed new cardiologist, Abid Shah, MD.

Dr. Shah is an interventional cardiologist who is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, and interventional cardiology. He is also a registered physician in vascular interpretation. His clinical interests include performing minimally invasive procedures to treat coronary artery disease and peripheral artery disease. He also has extensive expertise in treating both acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions, as well as peripheral vascular disease.

After attending medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dr. Shah completed his internal medicine residency at Baystate Medical Center, Tufts School of Medicine in Springfield, Massachusetts. He then completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the Bridgeport Hospital, Yale University School of Medicine in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Dr. Shah has presented research at numerous national conferences and has published in journals. His professional memberships include the American Medical Association, the American College of Cardiology, and the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
