A man has been arrested by law enforcement officials after he was observed tailing FedEx delivery trucks and attempting to pilfer packages immediately after they were dropped off, according to Osceola deputy reports.

In a coordinated effort spanning from December 2023 to March 2024, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, alongside the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, has successfully arrested a man linked to multiple package thefts across both counties. The suspect, identified as Jency Argenis Reynoso-Jimenez, became the focal point of an extensive investigation due to his involvement in numerous incidents of package theft, characterized by a consistent modus operandi and the use of the same vehicle.

On March 26, 2024, detectives conducted covert surveillance operations on Reynoso-Jimenez. He was observed following FedEx delivery trucks closely and was caught in the act of attempting to steal packages shortly after their delivery. This surveillance operation culminated in his arrest by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Further investigative efforts led to the acquisition of search warrants for Reynoso-Jimenez’s residence and vehicle, where authorities discovered several items linking him to the crimes. In a post-Miranda interview, Reynoso-Jimenez confessed to his involvement in the package thefts across the mentioned counties. As a result, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has issued several arrest warrants for Reynoso-Jimenez, facing multiple felony charges.
