Osceola County hosted a ribbon at NeoCity’s ‘OC’ center on Monday for Seoul National University, that is leasing space in the OC.

Seoul National University is a national research university located in Seoul, South Korea and will be focusing on smart city initiatives in “The OC.” Founded in 1946, Seoul National University is widely regarded as the most prestigious university in South Korea.

Osceola County’s OC is the second building within the NeoCity technology district and is an innovative, state-of-art 100,000 square foot building that includes zones for collaboration and idea sharing, meeting/conference rooms, a board room, open office space, and traditional private offices. The space between the two buildings creates a courtyard that takes advantage of the Florida weather and provides another place for researchers and visitors to collaborate, socialize or focus.

Attending the ribbon cutting ceremony were Osceola Chairwoman Viviana Janer Commissioner for District 2, District 5 Commissioner Ricky Booth, District 4 Commissioner Cheryl Grieb, Osceola County Manager Don Fisher, Congressman Darren Soto, Seoul National University Executive Vice President Jae Young Kim, and Dr. Junseok Hwang, Director of Seoul National University Global R&DB Center.
