Imagine a world where cancer didn’t exist, where loved ones didn’t have to suffer. That is what the American Cancer Society aims to accomplish with fundraising events like Relay for Life. With the support and the courage from communities all over the world, we can help fight this life-changing disease. Then hopefully the thought of a world where cancer doesn’t exist could become reality.

Osceola County came together on Saturday, April 27, 2019, for the 2019 Osceola County Relay for Life to rally as one big team to help raise funds to fight the ongoing battle against cancer. Local community leaders, residents, visitors, and survivors made their laps around RelayVille, the theme for the 2019 Osceola County Relay for Life event at the Osceola Heritage Park.

This year over 30 teams participated, some setting up vendor space to raise additional funds during the event. Every 30 minutes throughout the day teams were asked to participate in different themed laps including “A walk in their shoes” lap honoring loved ones lost to cancer or fighting cancer, a bunny hop lap where team members hopped the course, chicken dance lap, just to name a few. The event ended with a beautiful Luminaria and closing ceremony.

A very special thank you to all that contributed to this wonderful event. This collaboration of Relay for Life of Osceola County is the combination of Relay for Life of St. Cloud/Harmony and Relay for Life of Kissimmee/Poinciana has made an even stronger cancer-fighting team! And it couldn’t have been possible without the teams. A Big Thank you to:
