On June 15th, the Osceola County School Board approved the following administrative appointments:

George Arscott, Principal of Tohopekaliga High School
George Arscott has held the following positions: Teacher and Dean at Crystal River High School (2006-2011); Dean at Lake Nona High School (2011-2017); Assistant Principal at Liberty High School (2017-2019); and Assistant Principal at Harmony High School (2019-present). He received his bachelor’s degree in Mentally Handicapped/Varying Exceptionalities from the University of Central Florida and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from National Louis University.

Kelly Myers, Principal of Professional and Technical High School (PATHS)
Kelly Myers has held the following positions: Teacher at Apopka High School (1995-2001); Teacher at Olympia High School (2001-2002); Teacher at Florida Virtual School (2002-2005); Teacher and Dean at Celebration High (2007-2013); and Assistant Principal at Celebration High School (2013-present). She received her bachelor’s degree in English Education from Mercer University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from American College of Education.

Dr. Nykowana Sloan, Assistant Principal at oTECH/ALCO – Poinciana Campus
Dr. Nykowana Sloan has held the following positions: Teacher, Dean, and Assistant Principal for Orange County Public Schools (1996-2015); Testing Coordinator for Lake County Public Schools (2014-2015); and Teacher, Testing Coordinator, Learning Resource Specialist, and Dean at Osceola High School (2015-present). She received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Drama from Oral Roberts University and a master’s degree and doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from National Louis University.

Dr. Lisa-Renee Gilford, Assistant Principal at Osceola County School for the Arts
Dr. Lisa-Renee Gilford has held the following positions: Teacher at Haymon-Morris Middle School, Challenge Charter Academy, The Champion Theme Middle School and Summerour Middle School in Georgia (2007-2018); Assistant Principal at Summerour Middle School in Georgia (2018-2020); and MTSS Coach at Osceola High School (2020-present). She received her bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Cincinnati, a master’s degree in Education from the University of Phoenix, an education specialist degree in Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University, and a doctorate degree in Administration and Supervision from Liberty University.

Catherine Hiltunen, Assistant Principal at Mill Creek Elementary
Catherine Hiltunen has held the following positions: Teacher at Horizon Middle (2003-2015) and Dean of Students at Horizon Middle (2015-present). She received her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from West Virginia University and an educational specialist degree from Nova Southeastern University.

Amanda Brown, Assistant Principal at Boggy Creek Elementary
Amanda Brown has held the following positions: Teacher at Highlands Elementary (2010-2014); Teacher at Kissimmee Elementary (2014-2018) and Learning Resource Specialist and AVID Coordinator at Boggy Creek Elementary (2018-present). She received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
