The Osceola County School Board approved the following administrative appointments during its July 30 Board Meeting.
Lana Tessler, Assistant Principal at Osceola County School for the Arts
Lana Tessler has held the following positions: Teacher at Pelham High School (2004-2007); Teacher at Zenith Alternative School (2007-2008); Teacher at Neptune Middle (2008-2015); Testing Coordinator at Denn John Middle (2017-2019 and 2020-2022); Literacy Coach at Denn John Middle (2015-2020); and Dean of Students at Denn John Middle (2021-present). She received a bachelor’s degree in English from Suffolk University, a master’s degree in English Education from Rivier College, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from American College of Education.
Julie Reda, Assistant Principal at Harmony High School
Julie Reda has held the following positions: Teacher at Richland High School (2006-2012); Teacher at St. Joseph Catholic School (2012-2013); Teacher at West Florida High School (2013-2015); Teacher at Astronaut High School (2015-2016); Testing Coordinator at Merritt Island High School ((2016-2017); Dean and Director of CTE at Rockledge High School (2017-2019); Dean at Harmony High (2018-2023); and Assistant Principal at Gardendale Separate Day School (2023-present). She received her bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from California State University San Bernardino.
Joe Arzuaga, Assistant Principal at Osceola High School
Joe Arzuaga has held the following positions: Teacher at George Westinghouse High School (1997-2007); Assistant Principal at George Westinghouse High School (2007-2013); Site Supervisor for the Young Adult Borough Center in Brooklyn (2013-2017); and Principal at George Westinghouse High School (2017-present). He received his bachelor’s degree in Occupational Education from NYC College of Technology and a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Touro College.
Sadaris Cheatham, Coordinator for Employee Relations
Sadaris Cheatham has held the following positions: Sergeant E-5 in the Army and Army National Guard (1991-2000); Trainer and Community Coordinator for the Department of Juvenile Justice Services (1996-2001); Adjunct Instructor at City College (2003-2004); Disaster Inspector/Investigator – Hazard Mitigation Services for FEMA (2004-2007); Child Protective Investigations for the State of Florida Department of Children and Families (2007-2009); Supervisor and Program Administrator for Child Protective Investigations for the State of Florida Department of Children and Families (2009-2017); and Employee Relations Manager and Equity Coordinator for the Osceola School District (2017-present). He received his bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree in Human Resources from Troy State University.
