The Osceola County School Board approved the following administrative appointments during its June 27, 2023 meeting. The board meeting was the first with new Superintendent Dr. Mark Shanoff.
Deputy Superintendent, Teaching, Leading, and Learning: Dr. Rene Clayton (effective July 1, 2023)
Dr. Clayton is currently Assistant Superintendent for Educational Choices and Innovation
Chief of Staff, Human Resources and Student Services: Dr. Michael Allen (effective July 1, 2023)
Dr. Allen is currently Assistant Superintendent for Middle and K-8 Schools Curriculum and Instruction
Beth Telemko, Principal of East Lake Elementary
Beth Telemko has held the following positions: Teacher at Mill Creek Elementary, Michigan Avenue Elementary, and Hickory Tree Elementary (1992-2012); Literacy Coach at St. Cloud Elementary (2012-2015); District Resource Teacher and Instructional Framework Coach for the Osceola School District (2015-2017); and Assistant Principal at Sunrise Elementary, Neptune Elementary, and Harmony Community School (2017-present). She received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Bloomsburg University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.
Brandon Western, Assistant Principal at Kissimmee Middle School
Brandon Western has held the following positions: Teacher at Celebration K-8 (2011-2019) and Dean of Students at Celebration K-8 (2019-present). He received his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.
