Three administrators from the School District of Osceola County have been selected to participate in the Florida Department of Education Chancellor’s Leadership Academy. Christina Harrell, Principal of St. Cloud Middle School; Henry Santiago, Director of Middle School Instruction and Curriculum; and Jennifer Wrona, Assistant Principal of St. Cloud High School, will join educational leaders from across the state in this intensive professional development program.
Throughout the 2024-25 Chancellor’s Leadership Academy, these administrators will engage in a variety of learning opportunities designed to enhance their leadership skills and impact within their schools and district. Key aspects of the program include:
- Building a Statewide Community of Leaders: Participants will collaborate with peers to foster a shared vision of high-quality instructional leadership across Florida.
- Advancing Instructional Knowledge and Skills: They will deepen their expertise in identifying and promoting high-quality teaching and learning, as well as in supporting the professional growth of teachers and school leaders.
- Enhancing Observation and Feedback Skills: The program will develop their abilities in observation, analysis, and providing targeted feedback through both onsite and virtual coaching and collaboration.
- Mastering Florida’s Academic Standards: Participants will deepen their understanding of the state’s academic standards, equipping them to better support student achievement.
The Leadership Academy will officially commence in October, marking the beginning of a transformative journey for these Osceola County educators as they work to elevate the quality of education in their schools and beyond. Congratulations to our awesome Osceola School District leaders!
