A 24-year-old man, who was already on immigration parole, has been arrested in Osceola County on multiple charges of lewd and lascivious battery involving a 13-year-old victim, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities took Brayan Alexis Mendieta Lopez into custody on March 7, 2025, following an investigation that revealed multiple instances of illegal sexual conduct at a residence in Kissimmee. Lopez faces four counts of Lewd and Lascivious Battery (victim aged 12 to 16), in violation of FSS 800.04(4).
Sheriff’s detectives confirmed that Lopez, a Colombian national, had originally entered the United States illegally before being placed on an immigration parole status in 2022. Due to his legal status, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office is coordinating with federal immigration authorities as the case progresses.
On March 11, 2025, the State Attorney’s Office successfully petitioned for Lopez to remain in pre-trial detention without bond. As a result, he is currently being held at the Osceola County Jail.
The investigation remains active, and officials urge anyone with additional information to contact the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
Stay tuned for updates as the case develops.
