Early Tuesday morning, April 16th around 6:00 A.M., Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the Econolodge at 2934 Polynesian Isle Boulevard in Kissimmee after being called about a possible armed robbery. The victim reported that a black man, armed with a silver semi-automatic pistol, robbed the clerk of the hotel at gunpoint.

Osceola detectives were able to identify 21 year-old Asante McGee as the suspect in the Kissimmee hotel armed robbery case  and obtained a warrant for his arrest for Robbery with a weapon, Grand Theft, and Aggravated Assault with a weapon.

On Monday April 22nd Osceola County Sheriff’s Office spotted McGee at a bus stop in the area of 192 and Old Vineland road, but when McGee saw the deputies he ran from the bus stop. Unfortunately for McGee deputies ultimately were able to place him in custody.
