The Osceola County Historical Society names Kimberly Murray as its Executive Director. Kimberly has a Master of Science Degree in Human Services Management and prior to joining the OCHS team, Kimberly began her journey in the nonprofit sector in 1997 with the Brain Injury Association of Florida where she found her true calling of non-profit management.

Kimberly has also been involved with the arts, culture, and humanities non-profit sector through her experience with VSA Ohio, a statewide organization that promotes the arts for persons with disabilities, AHA! A Hands-on Adventure, a children’s museum, and Art & Clay on Main, an art studio for persons with and without disabilities. Most recently, Kimberly was the Executive Director of a unique, city-wide Home Owners Association in North Oaks, Minnesota for 3 years.

“In coming to the Osceola County Historical Society, I am hoping to use my experience and skills for strong governance and efficiency that will help the organization to continue its pattern of growth and preservation of the history of the county”, says Kimberly Murray, Osceola County Historical Society Executive Director.

The Osceola County Historical Society collects and preserves the county’s history, and provides educational, research and recreational opportunities to foster an understanding and enjoyment of the area’s cultural and natural heritage through museum displays, demonstrations, interpretive programs, and special events for residents and visitors.
