The Osceola Magic fell to the Birmingham Squadron at Osceola Heritage Park 118-116 on Wednesday afternoon.

Trey Jemison collected a double-double for Birmingham tallying 14 points and 18 rebounds, while Jalen Crutcher netted 24 points. Osceola’s Trevelin Queen also secured a double-double, leading the game with 30 points and 11 rebounds. Mac McClung added 24 points and seven assists in the losing effort.

“We got the looks we wanted, we just couldn’t get them to fall,” Queen said. “Success in the [NBA G League] Winter Showcase has a lot of meaning. If we succeed there it helps everyone on the team get to where they want to be.”

The Squadron made 18 free throws in the game going 94.7 percent from the charity stripe. The Magic made a fourth-quarter push cutting the lead to just two after a made three-point shot by Brandon Williams with two seconds on the clock. The Magic ultimately fell short in their quest for a comeback victory.
