The Osceola Magic defeated the Sioux Falls Skyforce at the NBA G League Winter Showcase 133-116 on Friday Night.

Osceola’s Trevelin Queen collected a double-double with 33 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists, while Jett Howard netted 28 points and seven rebounds. Cole Swider contributed 22 points and nine rebounds for the Skyforce.

“With no fans at the Showcase we knew we had to bring the energy and be locked in,” commented Trevelin Queen after the game. “We get a new start with the regular season beginning. We had our chance to get to know each other during the Showcase, now we have the opportunity to show that we are the best team in the G League.”

“We knew it would be a rock fight at the beginning,” Osceola Magic Head Coach Dylan Murphy stated. “Once we were able to set our feet, we were able to come back in the second half and play our brand of basketball.”

Despite trailing for a significant portion of the first half, the Magic managed to level the score at 56-56 with a three-point shot by Jett Howard. The Magic continued to shoot from deep and knocked down eight three-point shots going 42 percent from beyond the arch in the second half. Additionally, the Magic outscored the Skyforce 50-34 in the paint. The Magic finished the Winter Showcase with a 10-6 record.

The Osceola Magic, NBA G League Affiliate of the Orlando Magic, will face the Westchester Knicks, on Saturday, December 30 at the Westchester County Center in White Plains at 7:00 PM. The game will stream on NBAGLeague.com.
