The NBA G League recently honored Osceola Magic’s guard, Mac McClung, as the G League Player of the Week for the week ending March 24, 2024. This achievement represents the second time McClung has received this weekly accolade in his career, underscoring his exceptional performance and contribution to the team.

McClung becomes the second Osceola Magic player to be named NBA G League Player of the Week this season with Trevelin Queen previously winning the honor on Nov. 26, 2023.

During two games last week, McClung averaged 31.5 ppg., 4.0 rpg., 8.5 apg. and 1.00 stlpg. in 35.0 minpg., while shooting .636 (21-33) from the floor and .611 (11-18) from three-point range. He led the Magic in scoring one time and led (or tied) in assists two times. McClung scored 20+ points in the two games. Osceola went a perfect 2-0 last week with wins over Birmingham.

The two-time NBA Slam Dunk Champion, McClung has played and started in 25 games this season for Osceola, averaging a team-high 25.5 ppg., 4.6 rpg., a team-high 6.8 apg. and 1.24 stlpg. in 35.2 minpg. He led (or tied) the Magic in scoring 11 times and in assists 15 times. McClung scored in double figures 25 times, 20+ points in 11 games, 30+ points in seven games and 40+ in one game, including a season-high 40 points on Mar.21 @ Birmingham.
