Osceola County Sheriff Marco Lopez has prepared a twelve-deputy unit to send to Tallahassee to assist the Leon County Sheriff’s Office if deemed necessary ahead of potential unrest in relation to next Wednesday’s Inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden.

This comes after the FBI warned that there is a potential for armed protests at state Capitals across the country.

Governor Ron DeSantis’s office has closed the Capital out of an abundance of caution.

In Washington, D.C., authorities closed the National Mall ahead of President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration on Wednesday.
