Osceola County Fire Rescue & EMS, along with the City of Kissimmee Fire Department and the St. Cloud Fire Rescue Department are participating in a digital Keep the Wreath Green campaign this year.
The goal of the program is to remind residents of the importance of fire safety through the holidays. The wreath, lit initially by all green bulbs, will light one red bulb for each house fire through the month of December.
This past week, crews with the County and two cities responded to one serious residential structure fire, turning one green bulb from the wreath red.
All three fire rescue agencies are encouraging the community to follow safety guidance regarding heating, cooking, electrical safety and smoke alarms, so that no additional bulbs will turn red and all residents in Osceola County will enjoy a safe and happy holiday season.
