A boy, around 15 years old, was struck Monday morning while riding his bike along Fortune Road near Grande Boulevard in Kissimmee not far from Gateway High School. Officials are still unclear if the teen is a Gateway student and are waiting for the teenager who is currently unconscious in the hospital to wake up so they can find out additional information about the crash.

The teenager was flown by helicopter to Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital in Orlando, where is being treated for serious injuries.

His bike was found in the street and his backpack was located on the side of the road.

According to police, the gray SUV was damaged in the area of the front bumper and front windshield, and the driver of the SUV remained at the scene
