I’m Nathan Blackwell, Mayor of the City of St. Cloud.

Have you driven past St. Cloud Fire Rescue Station 31 recently? If not, you should go check it out. Lt. David Miller and his wife, Mikayla, are spearheading a project to install “Little Libraries” at fire stations and other locations throughout the community. These “Little Libraries” offer free books and fire safety information for children. Each is hand-painted by local artist Eric Frost, with a different theme. I am excited to announce that this project has already gathered several community partners, so you’ll be seeing many more of these “Little Libraries” in the coming weeks and months. Stop by Station 31 at the corner of Minnesota Avenue and 10th Street to check out our very first Little Library!

Mark your calendars now, because you won’t want to miss the Peghorn Pig-Out, FREE BBQ on Saturday, Sept. 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Peghorn Park. We’ll have live music, horseshoes, exhibitors, classes, local vendors and fun-packed Kids Zone. You won’t want to miss this!
