Publix says all locations will be extending operating hours beginning Saturday and will suspend reserved shopping hours, becoming one of the first major retailers in Florida to relax standards put in place during the coronavirus pandemic.

Per a release on its corporate website, stores will be open from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. starting Saturday. Pharmacies will also return to “pre-COVID-19” operating hours.

“We do understand some customers prefer to shop when the stores are less crowded,” the release said. “We encourage you to shop during the first hour of the day, when we can better accommodate that need.”

The CDC still recommends, and Osceola County mandates, that you still wear a mask while shopping at Publix or the supermarket of your choice.
