Publix has shifted its COVID-19 vaccination schedule, moving all scheduling for the Moderna vaccine to Fridays only and no longer offering appointment scheduling on Mondays.
Starting Friday, April 9, Publix will open its online reservation system every Friday at 7 a.m. for Moderna COVID-19 vaccine appointments in Florida for the following week.
The online reservation system will no longer open on Mondays for Publix appointments in Florida.
Although individuals ages 16 and older are eligible in Florida, the Moderna vaccine is only authorized for those 18 years of age and older, said Publix.
Moving forward, the online reservation system will also remain open on Wednesdays at 7 a.m. for Florida residents to schedule an appointment for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
As long as Publix continues to receive doses of both vaccines, the schedule for appointments through Publix will be as follows:
If you have an appointment for your second dose of the Moderna vaccine, you will not be impacted by any changes in Publix’s scheduling. You should still arrive at your original scheduled appointment.
