Raymond Sanchez has been appointed to a five-year term on the Kissimmee Utility Authority board of directors, by the Kissimmee City Commission.

Sanchez, a 28-year resident of Kissimmee, works at Osceola Regional Medical Center as a surgical technologist lead and holds an associate’s degree from Anthem College. He is a voting precinct volunteer and the former coordinator for Osceola Regional’s Department of Surgery.

Sanchez will be sworn in at the October board meeting to fill a seat being vacated by Kathleen Thacker, who will leave the board after fulfilling the maximum of two terms.

“We are excited to have Mr. Sanchez join our board later this fall. We look forward to his contributions to the utility and the community in the years to come,” said Brian Horton, President & General Manager of KUA.
