Nestlé USA has initiated a voluntary recall of one of its cookie dough products due to possible wood fragments in the product.This recall is specifically limited to two sets of Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough “break and bake” Bar products, which were manufactured on April 24 and April 25, 2023. These products were distributed to various retailers across the country, as confirmed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Click here to view the FDA recall.
It’s important to note that this recall does not pertain to any other Nestlé Toll House products, which includes different types of refrigerated cookie dough in “break and bake” bars, rolls, or tubs, as well as Edible cookie dough.
The company emphasized that despite no reports of illnesses or injuries, they are taking this proactive step as a precautionary measure. The decision follows feedback from a small number of consumers who reached out to Nestlé USA about the potential issue.
For consumers who have purchased the Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bar (16.5 oz) with batch codes 311457531K and 311557534K.
Nestlé USA is advising the public to refrain from preparing or consuming the product. Instead, individuals should return the item to the retailer where it was bought, either for a replacement or a refund.
