A registered sex offender living in Osceola County was arrested Wednesday in Seminole County after a minor said she had been molested twice by a man, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim told Osceola deputies that she was sexually battered by Wesley Allan Churchill, a registered sex offender from Maine, once in Osceola County and once in Orange County.

Churchill was convicted of gross sexual assault in Maine in 2004, according to FDLE  records that also listed him as transient in Osceola County.

Detectives with the Osceola County Sex Crimes Unit obtained an arrest warrant on Churchill for Capital Sexual Battery, and on October 2nd Churchill was located by United States Marshals in Seminole County and arrested.

“Detectives believe this is an isolated incident but are requesting any additional information about Churchill or this crime,” Chief Deputy Kevin McGinley said. “This is an ongoing investigation and there will be additional charges.”
