The Osceola Council on Aging recently celebrated National Volunteer Month with some Western-style flare, complete with cowboy hats, boots, country music, and a special appearance by the King, Elvis Presley that is!

The event, held in April, was a way for the OCOA to show their appreciation for the volunteers who contribute their time and energy to the organization throughout the year. With over 700 volunteers, the Osceola Council on Aging provides essential services to seniors and those in need in the community, including meal delivery, transportation, ,social support, and of course… lots of fun!

The Western-themed celebration was a unique way to honor the volunteers and acknowledge their hard work. Attendees enjoyed dancing, live music, and a delicious meal provided by Big John’s Rockin’ Barbecue.

The Osceola Council on Aging is committed to providing services and programs that enhance the quality of life for seniors in Osceola County, and the  western-style party was a fantastic way to bring people together and show appreciation for the hard work of the volunteers who help make the OCOA’s mission possible all year long!
