The School District of Osceola County and Osceola Reads came together to host a special event Thursday evening, Kindergarten Dream To Be. The event was held at the Ross E. Jeffries Center allowing parents the opportunity to come to ask questions and speak directly with the school that their child will be attending. Parents were also able to meet other parents and give their child a glimpse at what their new school has to offer.

The Osceola County Schools that were showcased during the event were:

Harmony Community School
Hickory Tree Elementary
Lakeview Elementary
Michigan Ave Elementary
Neptune Elementary
Narcoossee Elementary
Partin Settlement Elementary
St. Cloud Elementary
Ross E. Jeffries – VPK
St. Cloud High School – VPK
Zenith Career Center – VPK

Parents of the soon to be kindergarteners were able to collect registration information, visit the school informational booths and learn more about the different resources available to not only the students but also themselves. Children received free giveaways including free books and ice cream.
Kindergarten is such an awesome milestone in a child’s life, the Kindergarten Dream To Be event helped calm the minds of both children and their parents making them feel more comfortable during the transition of entering Kindergarten. This is another great example of how the School District of Osceola County and Osceola Reads are making a positive difference in the lives of Osceola County’s students.
