Seven teenagers have now been arrested in connection with a line of convenience store armed robberies that took place in Osceola County last week, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspects were being searched for after six young men were seen on a security video storming into two separate 7-Eleven stores, carrying guns and demanding cash and stealing items from the store shelves before driving off in a dark colored vehicle, according to authorities.
The convenience stores were located at 5880 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee and at 8010 Osceola Polk Line Road in Davenport, according to a news release.
The trail for the suspects stayed warm after the teens continued their crime spree in St. Cloud, officials said.
St. Cloud PD reported that six teens entered the Circle K gas station Saturday at 2901 Canoe Creek Road, threatened the clerks on duty and then stole $152 from the cash register. Shortly after that robbery, they moved onto the 7-Eleven at 21 Nolte Road and commenced to rob that store.
The St. Cloud Police Department says that the string of crime committed by the group of teens included the stealing of a Taser from an unmarked police vehicle, which was then used to commit aggravated assault.
Only a few hours later, several vehicles were burglarized and an armed robbery was reported in the Gramercy Farms subdivision.
The teenagers attempted get away but were located near a drainage canal by Osceola County Sheriff deputies.
Investigators say after piecing evidence from the 7-Eleven armed robberies and the later incident at the Circle K, they were able to identify six of the teens.
The Robbery Unit, Tourism Policing Unit as well as patrol deputies and the St. Cloud Police Department responded to the area. Deputies were able to locate and arrest six males who matched the description of the 7-11 robbery suspects.
The teenage suspects were identified as; 18-year-old Matheus Deolivera-Rodrigues, Jose Carlos Rezende-Silva, Davi Souza Cesario, Enrico Paterlini-Gerviassio, Felipe Leal Nascimento, Bruno Dalpra Pereira, and Thallys Roberto Cassimeiro-Desouza.
All six suspects cooperated with the robbery investigations and confessed to their involvement. A seventh suspect was arrested by the Robbery Unit and Tourism Policing Unit in Orlando. Detectives arrested one adult and six juveniles and charged them with armed robbery. According to authorities, the adult was taken to the Osceola County Jail and the minors were take to the Juvenile Assessment Center in Orange County.
