From January 9-12, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit conducted Operation Hindsight 2020. The purpose of this operation was to find and capture sexual offenders who had been using the internet to target minors.

The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is led by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, and is made up of 60 local, state, and federal agencies in Central Florida.

Twelve suspects were arrested during the operation, and three more were arrested a few days later. Of the three arrests, one of the suspects was arrested in Orlando, while the other two suspects were arrested here in Osceola County. Fifteen suspects were arrested in total. Charges varied from traveling to meet a minor to transmission of harmful materials.
