After stopping in Kissimmee Friday morning for a ceremony with Osceola County leaders including Osceola County Commissioner Brandon Arrington, KPD Chief Jeff O’ Dell, and Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez, Special Olympics USA Games athletes and law enforcement representatives appeared in a parade at Walt Disney World Resort, the main site for the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games.

The festive parade down Main Street U.S.A., at Magic Kingdom Park included popular Disney characters, lively entertainment, streamers and music amid a sea of cheering guests.

The parade was part of the final leg of the official Special Olympics USA Games Law Enforcement Torch Run that began in Chicago and ended at Exploria Stadium in downtown Orlando.

The Special Olympics USA Games kicks off Sunday with the Opening Ceremony at Exploria Stadium in Orlando. The majority of the competitions at this year’s USA Games will take place at the Disney sports complex, including basketball, powerlifting, volleyball, soccer and track & field.
