On Friday the St Cloud High School Bulldogs hosted the Winter Springs Bears, and the Bulldogs did exactly what was expected, they dominated in the air and on the ground. Bulldogs QB Garhett King threw for 278 yards and 3 touchdowns while the Dawgs ran for 167 yards and 2 TDs on the ground to win 39-7 over the Bears.

The scoring didn’t kick in until the start of the second quarter when Bulldog RB #15 Pat Forsythe pounded into the endzone from the 2-yard line. From there it was all Bulldogs. Garhett King connected with Aj Negron on a 40-yard pass making it 13-0 Dawgs. Not long after the Bulldog defense chipped in 6 more after a fumble recovery that led to a TD. A slick pass to a sliding Hayden Taylor brought another TD, followed by a perfect 46 yard TD pass down the sideline to #32 Jack Rilling.

Winter Springs pulled off one TD in the 4th Quarter busting up the shutout, but that would be it as the Bulldogs racked up 278 yards in the air and 167 yards on the ground with a total of 5 TDs to knock out the Bears from Winter Springs 39-7.

What made Friday night’s win even more special was that it happened on Bulldog Coach Bryan Smart’s birthday  – and one of the assistant coaches also. That of course brought out the singing talent of the Bulldog players, and to be honest, the singing wasn’t half bad. 🙂 All and all, it was a great night to be a bulldog!
