St. Cloud’s Kaylin White and Hannah Wagner are state champions after winning the 110 and 183-pound classifications, respectively, at the Class 2A state meet Saturday at Arnold High School in Panama City Beach.

White, a two-time runner-up as a sophomore and junior, finally turned that medal into gold with a 150-pound bench press and 160-pound clean and jerk for a 310-pound total that bested New Smyrna Beach’s Kacie Stouffer by five pounds. White was in fourth place after the bench.

Wagner was in second after a 190-pound bench. Her 180-pound clean put her in a three-way tie for the lead at 370; she won as the lightest of the three lifters.
They, along with Zyanna Henry’s sixth’s place finish (210-175–385) in the unlimited class, St. Cloud finished fifth in the team standings with 15 points.
