At over 2,500 locations across the United States, at sea, and abroad each December a very special mission to Remember, Honor, and Teach takes place in coordinated wreath-laying ceremonies for National Wreaths Across America Day. The goal – to place a wreath on each fallen veteran’s headstone.

On December 17 at St. Cloud’s Mt. Peace Cemetery, members from all over the community came together to REMEMBER our fallen U.S. veterans, HONOR those who serve, and TEACH the younger generation the value of freedom.

The Osceola Veterans Council, Students from the Osceola County School for the Arts, Rotary Club of St. Cloud, the Joshua Stevens Chapter NSDAR of St. Cloud, and many more were all part of the reverent wreath-laying ceremony that included a 21-gun salute, and ended with members of the community, young and old, placing a wreath on the headstones of every fallen service members laid to rest at Mt. Peace ceremony hoping to ensure that the memory of those who served our country endures.

In many homes at this time of the year, there is an empty seat for one who is serving or one who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. There is no better time to express appreciation for those than during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.
