U.S. 192 was shut down Wednesday night following a two-vehicle crash that killed two people and critically injured another in Osceola County, Florida troopers said.
Around 7:40pm Wednesday night, east of the City of St. Cloud, a 75-year-old St. Cloud woman was driving with a 74-year-old St. Cloud man eastbound on US192 when she attempted to make a left turn onto Old Melbourne Highway but drove directly into the path of a 2010 Ford van that was headed westbound on US192.
The van struck the side of the car turning onto Old Melbourne Highway killing both the driver and passenger. The driver of the van was airlifted to Osceola Regional Medical Center with critical injuries.
FHP said that alcohol was not a factor and that the crash is currently under investigation.
