Starting Monday, Nov. 18, access to three areas around the St. Cloud 17th Street ballfields will be restricted as construction begins on a major expansion project.
The following areas will be closed during construction:
- Overflow parking lot by the pool and t-ball fields
- Cut-through service road leading to Peghorn Way
- Roadway leading to the Community Center and Civic Center
These closures will remain in place throughout the construction period.
The City is investing $16 million in expanding and upgrading the 17th Street ballfields. The project includes modernizing the existing fields, adding two new fields, new dugouts, field lighting, restrooms, parking, improved drainage, and fencing.
